Q. When was the Temples of Satan founded?

A. The Temples of Satan was founded in 2000 and in 2009 became the first legal Theistic Satanic Church, unlike most organization which rely on Universal Life Church ordainments.

The Church of Theistic Satanism is a project of The Temples of Satan and shares the abilities to ordain legally Priests and Priestesses, for a fee.

Q. Why the 5013 C Status?

A. Unlike most “quote-unquote” Satanic Organization the Temples of Satan believes we can most certainly benefit from a tax status such as many churches in the World Religions.

Q. The Temples of Satan doesn’t recognize the Universal Life Church Ordainment?

A. We do not believe a “non aligned with Satan” organization can not sell such honors and the ability to grant such doesn’t come from emails and or “affixed claims or titles.”

Q. Can one petition for Priesthood or Priestess from the Temples of Satan or Church of Theistic Satanism?

A. Yes, one is required to pay a fee and seek ordainment from the ruling clergy body after an extensive questionnaire in preparedness for such an honorable entitlement.

Q. Grand Magister?

A. The title with careful look-up means Occult Teacher, we do grant paid Priestesses and Priest’s yet they are required to report to our founder who has over 25 years of involvement off-line and on-line with Satanism, and is considered The Leader of Theistic Satanism.

Q. Do you have doctrines and or provide ritual works?

A. We provide limited access to on-line and unlimited access to off-line paid members, membership is 100.00 for lifetime and includes a certificate and exclusive membership only content and PDF files, not often viewed by the general population.

Q. Off-line or On-line?

A. We provide both and many who participate on-line also participate off as well, unlike most “quote-unquote” Satanic Organizations we hold regular meetings and attend many Meet-Up Groups including Diane Vera’s Theistic Group in NYC which we recommend for New Yorkers.

We recently held a gathering in Buffalo, and Chicago and plan Cleveland and New Orleans meets soon as well, average attendance is ten to twenty however in New York upwards of fifty have been in attendance.

Q. Do you hold Black Mass?

A. Seldom to we require or participate in activities like Black Mass, we do however unlike many “quote-unquote” Satanic Organizations hold rituals as a group as time and meetings progress nationally.

Q. What system do you use in study?

A. We believe in individual development and assist in your journey down the path, with several learning options and systems we accept most who are similar to our beliefs and often utilize the works of Blackwood and others before him.

A. We only recognize legal Satanic Churches as valid organizations we do cooperate with Diane Vera’s groups due in part to her contribution to Theistic Satanism.

We also are associates with several other Real Satanic Organizations and Pagan Organizations.

We have established ourself as the alternative to those seeking a relationship with Satan and continue to provide an experience unlike others in Satanism.

We also do not recognize The Church of Satan as anything other than “Advanced Atheism” or Pseudo Satanic due in part the non acceptance of Satan or his Archetype as reality, yet using his name in grandiose titles.

A. Visit our Website and send 100.00 to us securely through Google, shorty thereafter Blackwood will personally contact you via phone and discuss your desires and goals for your membership, which is lifetime.

Q. How many members do you have?

A. While we never provide membership lists to members we do provide access to the membership base via off-line and on-line venues, we however will not disclose your information to other members since you are encouraged to reach out to others on-line or off.

Our membership totals are over one thousand worldwide, yet only a small percentage of membership participate in meetings and discussion, many paid members do more than unpaid membership.

Off-line of course is stronger than on-line (which is free via groups).

Our on-line groups serve only as a platform for our off-line meetings and we encourage all on-line membership to go off-line as soon as possible.

Q. I am under 18 can I apply?

A. We allow applicants who are under 18 with emancipation papers as proof or parental permission, we also do not discuss or provide sexual or content that is deemed adult in nature to under-age membership.

Q. Do you sacrifice people or animals?

A. We believe that most “quote-unquote” Satanic Organizations are spawned in the minds of people who are not strong of mind we are and we do condone animal sacrifice, provided you do it without cruel intentions to torture, we also understand the criminal aspect of killing human and do not recommend such behaviors however do feel as Satanist’s we are “Supreme Rulers” or the Earth sharing its content with Satan and serving him, so we deem it acceptable to kill if for ones safety.

We are strong advocates for the Constitution and honor the rights it provides.

We do also think that being a Satanist requires more than a desire to be evil or be the “center of attention” we think it requires the ability to kill if required for ones revenge and or betterment of the deity however due to laws we can only support the concept and not condone the act.

In rituals we do supplement the use of human by using a goat acquired and used completely by the ritual.

The Temples of Satan and Church of Theistic Satanism and Church of Satanism withdraw from Reformed Church of Satan Co-Activities. April 17th 2009. Official Church of Theistic Satanism Statement.

As announced in a recent meeting with general membership, we will dissolving our previous affiliation, with The Reformed Church of Satan due in part to differences in our teachings and doctrines set forth by The Leader of Theistic Satanism Grand Magister Blackwood and his clergy.

Magister Alexander C.O.T.S. New York Blackwood was quoted “Mike and I will remain friends despite differences in Satanic Philosophy and Satanic Edict, however cooperation between our organizations have ended as per a decision of The Church of Theistic Satanism Clergy, and due to the nature of its composition I regret leaving my friend, however no internal arguments over theory will debase our friendship.”

Clergy Temples of Satan So on April 17th 2009 The Temples and Church withdraw cooperative efforts between our organizations pursuit ant with Church Edicts dated January 12th 2008.

In her explicit commentary she rants: The Satanic Bible Presents the Only Legitimate Satanic Religion.

The Satanic Bible to Novice Satanists is considered a viable source, however to the more knowledgeable and educated person its represents nothing more than another H. P. Lovecraft type novel.

The Enochian Calls and mishmash prayer’s to a deity he didn’t even recognize makes his works in vain.

While many groups and organizations today claim to be “Satanic”, only the philosophy practiced by the members of the Church of Satan and those who adhere to The Satanic Bible can rightfully be called Satanists.

Blackwood fired back:

Once again to think the accomplishments of Allee, Aquino, Vera, or Blackwood mean nothing is simply arrogant and shows us the example of how The Church of Satan pretends to be elite and offers up little other than the rants of a long dead “Carnival Showman” and his inheritors who can barely muster a Satanic Ideology.

The unexpected line-up will tackle the issue at Mars Hill Church in Seattle for ABC’s “Nightline Face-Off” series, which will air on March 26.

Arguing that the devil does exist will be Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church and Annie Lobert, founder of Hookers for Jesus. On the other side of the debate are Deepak Chopra, author of Jesus: A Story of Enlightenment, and Bishop Carlton Pearson who is often labeled as a heretic for his Gospel of Inclusion preaching.

Considering the line-up, the debate is not likely to get into any complex theology and history, according to T.J. Wray, associate professor of religious studies at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I., as reported by the Seattle Times.

“Why don’t they call professionals – the people who write this stuff?” Wray asked, according to the Seattle Times.

Similar questions were raised by Christians two years ago when ABC launched its “Face-Off” series with two evangelists and two atheists debating “Does God Exist.”

Some Christians expressed disappointment in the lack of preparation by New Zealand evangelist Ray Comfort and 90s television star Kirk Cameron in the May 2007 public debate. They were faced off with Brian Sapient and Kelly (no surname), two atheists behind the controversial “Blasphemy Challenge” – a campaign on YouTube that encourages youth to denounce the Holy Spirit and “damn themselves to hell.”

But perhaps they were more frustrated that ABC did not bring on Christian apologists or those who hold theological degrees to represent the theists.

This time around proves no different.

According to James Goldston, executive producer of “Nightline,” they went for “the most interesting voices” they could find, as reported by the Seattle Times.

And interesting voices could translate to great ratings.

The response was “pretty dramatic,” as Goldston said, when they televised the 2007 debate. More than 15,000 comments were posted on the program’s website, according to ABC.

But not all disagree with ABC’s approach.

Pastor Driscoll of Mars Hill, who believes Satan is at work in the world for evil, believes the lineup of debaters helps ensure a “practical discourse” rather than “just an academic debate,” according to the local Times.

The debate will be moderated by Dan Harris, who covers faith issues for ABC News, and representatives from both sides of the “Does Satan Exist” question will be at Friday’s taping to watch and also ask questions.

Ask Deepak: Blaming Satan

Question:
I happened to watch your debate on if Satan exists. I found it very interesting. Although I am a devoted Christian. I wanted to understand your stance of this. I think that u were trying to let people realize that when we are conditioned to believe in negativity as far as Satan, that it gives people the excuse to blame for the negativity instead of looking at ourselves and believing instead of taking responsibility for our own spirituality instead of trying to just believing that we can find spirituality in just one’s belief. If this is not correct I would really like to know your true meaning of this. I thought your debate was so interesting and I would really like to understand.
Answer:
When we objectify evil, we are implying that it is outside of us, an external force we must confront. This viewpoint prohibits us from seeing and healing the darkness, fear and ignorance within us that is actually feeding the behavior we judge as evil outside us. That is why I said personifying evil as Satan is a way of avoiding personal responsibility for looking at our own shadow side. Furthermore, it is disempowering and demeaning to suggest that the divine essence within our soul is weak and helpless in the face of our projected shadow – Satan.
When everyone is looking to fight and resist the devil in the name of God, what you end up with is different religions fighting with other religions, each certain that the other is evil and they aren’t. This only leads to further misunderstanding, fear and conflict.  If instead, we could accept the notion that we all have a shadow side in that needs healing, forgiveness and love, then we would have the basis to truly love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

Navy approves first ever Satanist Mr Cranmer will be allowed to perform Satanic rituals The British Armed Forces has officially recognised its first registered Satanist, a newspaper reports. Naval technician Chris Cranmer, 24, has been allowed to register by the captain of HMS Cumberland, based at Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth. The move will mean that he will now be allowed to perform Satanic rituals on board the vessel. According to the Sunday Telegraph, Mr Cranmer realised he was a Satanist nine years ago.
